Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) president and MLA, Vijayakant, observed his birthday as “poverty eradication day” in Vriddhachalam, his Assembly constituency, on Friday.

He started the day off by offering prayers with his wife Premalatha and party leaders at Vriddhagireeswarar Temple, Nawab mosque on Aladi Road and at the Arcot Lutheran Church on Kaattukoodalur Road.
